Embellishments - The Paper Shelter

 Good morning all,

There's a new challenge just starting over at The Paper Shelter, and this week we're looking for you to use embellishments!

Ohhhhh, you know what that means... Of course I dove head-first into my flower box to make something shabby chic for this week!

This digi is called A Classy Stroll, and I'm not sure who's classier, the lady or the dog! As you can see, my new dark brown Copics are getting quite the work-out right now! I figure if I do dark-brown hair for the majority of my cards for a year or so, my stock of cards will hopefully have an even distribution of hair colour by the end of it, lol! (another by-product of Covid: lots of extra time to craft, and no craft fairs to sell any of the cards on!)

Tags - Sweet Stampin'

 Good morning folks!

Our theme over at Sweet Stampin' this challenge is tags! So, you can make a tag, or add a tag to your card, or find some other creative way to incorporate them.

For me it was a great excuse to break out the Tim Holtz supplies and have some fun. So much fun in fact, that I ended up with two!

Both tags started with a base made with distress sprays (which were the birthday present I had informed hubby he was getting me, lol), then I decorated one with some paper dolls (tinted with Distress markers) and a fab snarky sentiment, and the second with a large sentiment (from Inkylicious) and one of my much hoarded rusty stars.

Now it's over to you guys. we look forward to seeing what you come up with!

A Shaped card - The Paper Shelter

 Morning all,

If you're anything like me, you may find yourself getting a little lazy from time-to-time, and find most of your cards turn into simple squares or rectangles. If so, hopefully this week's challenge over at The Paper Shelter will help you shake things up a bit, as the theme this week is A Shaped Card.

So out came my dies and the awesome Rowena, and I had some fun making something a little different!

This was also a good excuse to break out some of the pretty vintage papers I'd been hoarding... 

I'd also finally gotten my hands on a few nice dark brown Copics to supplement my (now complete!) Promarker collection. As much as I love my Promarkers, it's nice to be able to do something in dark brown for once, lol. I love how it all turned out in the end.
