Good morning bloggers!
Thanks for all your comments regarding the uselessness of Blogger. While I'm not happy many of you are having similar issues, it at least does suggest the problem is on their end!
But enough of that. I have something much more fun... You may remember I made a card with a gorgeous MilkCoffee digi only a couple of weeks ago, and I mentioned that I wanted to re-do it in blue for my mother?
Mother, if you happen to be reading this, please look away now, lol.
Well, the theme over at CraftyHands this fortnight is Music, and it seemed like as good a time as any to get it made in plenty of time for mother's day. (Which here in the UK is the end of March)
So this card bears similarities to the previous one, though I've changed quite a lot too...
The paper I used this time is from a DCWV paper pad that my mum got me for Christmas. She really loved this music paper, so it seemed like a good idea to include it here. The crocheted ribbon was also something she got me. I used aged silver Frantage on the corner and sprinkled around the image, which I thought worked well with the blues and browns. The scalloped circle is actually a royal blue colour, but for some reason looks black in this picture... Same goes for some of the roses.
My favourite is the large light blue rose though... I added Tiara Stickles to the edges of the petals, and it looks so very lovely in person!
Mum plays both the cello and the violin, and I attached a cello charm to her birthday card last year, so it seemed appropriate to go for the violin this time :-)
Well, I hope you have been inspired to make a music themed project of your own, which you can enter at CraftyHands - after checking out the rest of the DT's creations, of course! - in order to stand a chance of winning this fab and very useful prize:
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
As you like it - Favourite texture well, I'm really one for distressing... I just love the effect you get after going to town with a distressing tool. Though it doesn't work with all types of card, it really does with vintage and shabby chic looks, which is great, as they often involve things like lace and Frantage too, which are other huge favourites! :-)
Crafty Catz - anything goes
Divas by design - Make it sparkle
Crafting when we can - Lots of Bling
Have a most fantastic day all!

Emboss it, wet or dry - MilkCoffee DT
Good morning all! At least, it may be morning for some of you, and others will be reading this in the morning. Others will not, lol. As for me, by the time this goes live I will be in the land of Nod, because I don't really get on with 4am any more, lol!
I just wanted to let you all know that I am still having a lot of trouble on and off with Blogger... It's letting me post ok, but refuses to show my feed most of the time, which is making visiting blogs almost impossible. Every now and then I can get through on a bookmarked link, but I don't exactly have all of the 500 blogs I'm following bookmarked! So please bear with me... I will hopefully be back to normal soon.
Anyways... I do believe I hinted that there would be another embossing challenge this month, and here it is! The MilkCoffee theme this fortnight is Emboss it - wet or dry, so here is my third and final embossed card this month:
I used the image Rock and Roll Super Star, as I figured he would go perfectly with my other embossing folder!
I originally planned to use some starry paper too, but got distracted by this one as I was browsing through a stack of "unknown" papers... To be honest, I think having that part starry too may have been a little overkill anyway. The sentiment is from a set of Kanban stamps and the glittery star is a super old bit of stash (meaning about 18 months old, as that's when I started crafting! lol), which I'd been hanging on to for just this kind of occasion.
As you can probably see, I did almost no colouring on the image! well, I coloured everything except the clothes, which I instead highlighted with gold Stickles and liquid pearls! I actually had a reference picture of Elvis in this suit open on my computer just so I got all the gold bits in the right places. :-)
Now then, I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but I do think you should now run off and go emboss something. with so many challenges to enter, you really have no excuse not to!
Be excellent to each other!

Anything but a card - Rhedd and Rosie's DT
Good morning my dears.
Ohhh, I have another project I'm very excited about today! It's time for a new challenge over at Rhedd and Rosie's, and the theme this fortnight is anything but a card.
Now those of you that have been with me a little while, may remember my first mini album I did a little while back using the G45 Steampunk Spells collection?
Well, I have done another, again using G45 paper, only this time I opted for the French Country collection.
First, a view of the album laid out, sort of, lol:
For the front, I used one of the images in the paper pack, and fussy cut some elements to add dimension. I chose some flowers (and apples!) I felt matched the papers, and finally opted to bind the album with string, rather than metal rings, as I felt it added to the rustic theme...
On overview of the first two pages:
Page one is simply a "look at" page. I used a green ribbon I'd stumbled across in York during my Christmas shopping and was looking forward to having a use for. I thought it worked quite well with the set of three images on top.
Page two. I made a little pocket out of contrasting paper, and popped a journal card and photo mat inside. I also chose three buttons (red, to match the paper, though it doesn't show so well in this picture!) to add a little more interest.
An overview of the next couple of pages:
This one is my favourite... I adore the paper I used for the background and the layered pocket. This time I added a journal card and two photo mats inside, as well as a postage stamp from the collection on top of the pocket. Some black Hobby House pearls to finish it off.
This next page has a "lift the flap" photo mat, and a matching journal card next to it.
Finally, the back. I left it blank, to show off the gorgeous sunflower paper!
So there it is. My second mini album, and so much fun to make! Now I know I say this every time, but you really want to do yourself a favour now, and go see what the rest of the gals have made for the theme. You really won't be disappointed!
And then why not come join in? There's an awesome alterable prize to be won!
Hope to see you there!
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Altered Eclectics - Anything goes
The Hobby House - Anything goes (used HH pearls)
And oldie but a goodie - Buttons (The red buttons I used on the first inside page are not only more than 6 months old... They're vintage! I got them from my aunt about a year ago, and she apparently removed them from a dress she'd bought in Paris not long after the war.)
Have an awesomesauce day!

Embossing - The Crafting Cafe DT
Gooood morning everyone!
Today, I am sharing my The Crafting Cafe DT card with you all, and this month we've been embossing. Now, those of you that have been paying attention know that I'm new to the whole embossing thing, and only actually own two embossing folders. (Ok, that's not entirely true any more... I received some border embossing folders as a magazine freebie a couple of days ago!)
For this card I used the same embossing folder I did before, only in a completely different way (keep your eyes peeled to see the other embossing folder at work in a few days' time...).
Instead of using the folder to emboss the background of my card like I did before, I instead chose to emboss some other elements on the card.
Like so:
The image I used is of course another Stamping Bella, and I decided to use core'dinations cardstock, so I could sand the hearts down after embossing them!
Here's a close-up of one of the hearts:
The "love" sentiments were cute with a set of Cheery Lynn Designs dies, and I shadow layered the purple on white to make it stand out more. Naturally, this seemed like a good time to break out the Stickles too! Hey, it's a wedding card. wedding cards need sparkle. And pearls. In this case of the liquid variety.
And a close-up of the image...
She has Stickles on the flower in her hair, and the ones in the bouquet too. Didn't I say a wedding card needs sparkle? ;-)
And the wedding colour is of course purple. All the best weddings feature purple. Can I offer a virtual cookie to anyone who can guess what colour featured at my wedding? ;-)
I wish I could tell you where the paper is from, but I got it in a pack of random papers, so could be anything. It is glitter embossed though, which makes it especially perfect for the challenge!
So... If you were thinking about having a go at embossing, now would be a good time! We'd love to see you over at The Crafting Cafe!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Lothian Crafts - Love using your dies
Sparkles Monthly -Ribbon/Lace, hearts & pearls
Have a most fantabulous day!

Humour - Sweet Stampin' DT
Good morning my dears!
It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin', and it's Team Fi week, which means I get to share my DT project with you all.
And this week, the theme is Humour, which proved to be oddly difficult for a lot of us over at SS Towers! But we all got there in the end. Even me, who couldn't find a single humorous stamp in her entire collection, but found a way around it by combining a regular one with a funny sentiment... Like so:
The image is of course from Stamping Bella, Uptown girl Caitlyn is having a cupcake party. I stamped her on a square of white card, which I matted with pink pearlescent card. I did the same with the sentiment (which was a magazine freebie this Christmas). There's a lot of Stickles on the image too (Stardust and a blue one I can't remember, lol) and of course she was coloured in with Promarkers.
Although if you ask me, it's only funny because it's true! lol. Seriously, it is. I keep making cupcakes for school bun fairs and such, and then eat most of them myself, lol! In fact, I have here a picture of the batch I made for Valentine's day!
Chocolate strawberry swirl cupcakes with chocolate fudge icing (which is, if I may say so myself, to die for!) and some hearts cut out of icing.
I don't really do baking, but I must say, I do a delicious cupcake! :-)
Anyways, enough about that, it's time for you all to go check out what the rest of the Sweeties have come up with (let's face it, after all the hard work they put in trying to come up with something funny, the least you can do is go take a looksee!) and then you can join in with us yourselves to have a chance at winning the weekly Crafts U Love prize, or the monthly Cuddly Buddly one!
Have fun!

Candy and challenge winners!
Hi all,
I'm very happy to be able to announce the winners of my candy draw, and also the winners of the special challenge featuring Kayleigh's gorgeous "Neko" digi!
But first of all, a huge thank you for all the birthday wishes! I had a most lovely day out with the kidlets, and got myself a couple of nice crafty bits to celebrate. They also both made me gorgeous cards (which I will be sure to share with you all soon), and I received so many lovely cards in the post too! I also may or may not have booked myself into the next LOTV workshop! :-D
Now then, I enlisted the help of Mr. Random.org, and for the candy, he drew out number...
11 - Jane, that's you! Email me your addy, and I'll get it posted out to you this week!
And for the challenge we received 5 utterly GORGEOUS entries! There was absolutely no way either of us was going to be able to pick a winner, so we asked Mr. Random to come to the rescue once again. We told him to give us a number from 1-5, and we'd rank the entries in order of submission (so ignore the number in the listing, if you submitted your "Neko" card first, you're #1, last #5, etc.).
And this time it was 3, which is Lozzy! Lozzy, if you can email me with your preference for crafty shop, I shall arrange your voucher for you!
But wait! There's more!
Kayleigh and I were both so very impressed with the gorgeous entries, that we decided she will create an exclusive digi for those who entered a card using it! It will never be available to anyone else, so we hope you'll enjoy it! So if the 5 of you would care to email me also, I'll send you your digi as soon as it is finished!
PHEW! That's that then... but if you didn't win anything this time, don't worry, there will be another candy up for grabs in a few weeks' time!
Hope you all have an awesomesauce day!

Use a freebie digi - Crafting with Dragonflies DT
Hi all!
Sorry it's been a while, but Blogger has been a real pain in the backside! Luckily, it seems to have been behaving today though, so fingers crossed, I'm back...
Anyways... The challenge over at Crafting With Dragonflies is a slightly different one this fortnight. We challenge you to make a card using s freebie digi! You can choose whatever digi you want, from whatever company, as long as it is free. And make sure you link to said freebie, so other people can find it too!
Now for me it wasn't at all difficult to decide where to start looking. There are so many digi companies and artists out there, but I do have my favourites. And after MilkCoffee, my very favourite digis are done by a very talented artist, Anna Stillwell, at Cuddlebug Cuties. And even better still? Her digis are all available on her blog, and free to use as long as you make sure to credit her!
Now, there was a difficult part to this task, and that was figuring out which of the many, many gorgeous images to use! I decided to go with something a little different from my usual choice of cute or whimsical characters, and chose instead to use the more modern and hip Cadee.
And I figured the digi really lent itself to this style of card too. It's more crisp and bold, like I used to make a lot of before I discovered the whole shabby chic thing, lol. I also used to make almost exclusively A6 size cards too back then, unlike my standard 14x14cm I use now.
Now I strongly urge you to go see what the rest of the Dragonflies have created for you, and why not join in with a freebie digi of your own?
You may know a perfect one, or you could go check out Anna's gorgeous selection of Cuddlebug Cuties!
Or, you could even go here, and use the digi my darling little girl created!
(I will be back in the morning to let you all know who the winners of my candy and challenge are!)
Off you go, go have fun!

Heat/Dry embossing - CraftyHands DT
Aaaaand good morning to all! And happy Valentines day. As you read this, I am probably on my way to my son's school armed with home made cupcakes to sell during break time!
To start with, there's still a couple of days to join in with my candy, or to make a card for my little challenge. We have 5 gorgeous entries so far, but it would be awesome to see a couple more!
Now, on to today's business, which just happens to be the new CraftyHands challenge. The theme? Heat or dry embossing.
Now, folks that have been paying close attention to my blog, will probably have noticed a distinct lack of embossed cards here to date. There's a very simple reason for that... I've not really made any! lol. (maybe a grand total of two since I started this crafting malarkey!) After getting my die-cutting machine a few months ago, I have been mainly trying to build up a selection of dies, and don't really have much in the way of embossing folders yet. In fact, I have exactly 2!
So, I am new to this. But I managed to (with the help of Google) figure out what sandwich I needed, and away I went. And because it is valentines day, my card ended up looking somewhat like this:
I used a fab stamp and sentiment that came free with a mag about a year ago (not used before today) and had some fun playing with different types of card candi to fill in the circles on the stamp.
And now it's your turn! Go check out what the rest of the CraftyHands team have cooked up for you, and then join us with an embossed creation of your own! You could very well win this fab set of punches!
I for one adore the X-cut punches... They're so much easier to use than others!
See you there!

Look for the Bear Necessities...
Hi all,
I finally have a card to enter the LOTV monthly challenge with! It certainly took some doing!
With the theme being "Name that tune", I have to admit the first attempt didn't go exactly as planned... You see, when they posted up the challenge, I just so happened to have a freshly stamped image sitting on my desk. This stamp was Ride with me, and what song would pop into my head? That would be "Funky moped" by Jasper Carrot. (I doubt any non-Brits have ever even heard of this one... Just so everyone is aware, Carrot is a comedian, and this song is supposed to be as ridiculous as it appears, lol)
Great, I have an image, and a song. let's make us a "funky moped" card. Well, it's gotta be psychedelic, of course (it was the 70's after all) so cue rainbow colours and whatnot...
Needless to say, this card did not come out the way I had intended...
Back to the drawing board.
Now, I know that I could have just made a card, and retrospectively added a song to fit, but that doesn't work for me. If the card is to be inspired by a song, inspired by a song it will be if it kills me!
And then, as I was digging through my stack of paper pads looking for something, it was staring me right in the face. Literally.
You know there's a LOTV paper pad called Bear Necessities, don't you? It was in fact the first of their paper pads I bought. And what's more, it would work perfectly with one of the new James stamps, I'd not gotten a chance to ink up yet! It also seemed to me, it needed to be relatively CAS. Lots of embellishments would go against the Bear Necessities idea after all!
So here it is... My "Bear necessities" card:

And the inside:
Besides, it works on another level... if you asked me to trim my stash down to the bear necessities, my James stamps would be the first to make the cut! ;-)
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
LOTV Ideas to Inspire - Name that tune
Crafty Little Fairies - Teddies
I <3 Promarkers - Gingham/plaid/checks
Forget about your worries and your strife!

Girlie - MilkCoffee DT
And another good morning to you all!
First of all. Am I the only one who has had trouble with Blogger these past couple of days? It's taking a dozen refreshes or more to load my blog feed, and I have trouble reaching individual blogs too. It's driving me cuckoo!
Anyways, I'm here to let you all know about the new challenge over at MilkCoffee! The theme this fortnight is Girlie. Easy peasy, no?
For my DT card, I chose Tiffany playing violin and paired her with paper from a calender that came free with a cardmaking mag last year! It's soooo pretty, don't you think? (I'm a sucker for text and music score papers... The best way to get me to buy a paper pad is to include one or both of those!)
The flowers are of course WOC, and I added some lace, cheesecloth, pearls and an adorable violin charm. The image panel also has a touch of shabby pink Frantage, and some tattered rose ink around the edge (inked the edges of the paper with the same before distressing) And it's hard to tell, but her jewellery has of course received the Stickles treatment!
Now, before you rush off to join us with something girlie, please do go check out what the rest of the MilkCoffee DT have prepared for you. It's worth it!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Wags N Whiskers - Bingo (pink, die cuts, glitter)
The ABC Challenge - E is for Embellish (pearls, flowers, charm & lace just for starters, lol)
Sparkles monthly - Show us your new stash (The large pink roses are new, as is the digi and the charm)
Paper Sweeties - February
Hugs,
Sammy-x

Love is in the air - Blogoversary - Rhedd and Rosie DT
Good morning my dears!
It's that time again over at Rhedd and Rosie's... The start of a brand new challenge. And this week the theme is, aptly, Love is in the Air. (and yes, before you ask, I did have the song stuck in my head the entire time I was making my card, and I do believe it's back again now, lol.)
Now, it goes without saying that I absolutely had to have a play with the new "James Big Heart" stamp from LOTV. He's just so very adorable!
Afrer colouring him with my Promarkers, I teamed him with paper from the Antebellum pad, and also included a LOTV sentiment. I have to say, I'm still really, really fond of pink and green colour combinations at the moment!
Now, this challenge is a very special one, as it's Rhedd and Rosie's Blogoversary! There is an amazing candy up for grabs. Look:
I am so very jealous I can't join in! You'll need to share the picture on your blog and link back to us to be eligible. You'll also need to leave a comment on the Blogoversary post.
Now off you go to see the rest of the stunning DT makes, and then get crafting!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Natalie and Amy's - Love is all around
Craft Mojo - Love, love, love
Live & Love crafts - Love N Lace
Craft room challenge -Ribbons and lace
Crafty Little Fairies - Love
The Ribbon Girl - Lovely Lili - Romance
Bunny Zoe's - Hearts, love
Papertake weekly - With a heart
Have a fantastic day!

Sentiment only - Sweet Stampin' DT
Good morning my dears.
We have a super fun challenge starting at Sweet Stampin' today. The theme is Sentiment Only.
Now, those of you who, like me, religiously follow everything LOTV, will know of the lovely Kathy, who designs DT cards for them using only the sentiments. I just adore her work, and my design of this card has probably been heavily influenced by what I've seen there!
And of course, I had to pick one of the fabulous LOTV sentiments to use!
This card is actually a lot smaller than I am used to working with... Usually, my cards are 14x14cm, but this one is 10x10. It was fun playing with the smaller size, but it would be too restricting with an image, I think.
The paper is First Edition (and glittered, which is hard to tell from the photo) and the flowers are from WOC. The pearls have a lovely gold sheen to them, which I thought really complemented the yellow and green colour scheme.
So that's me! Please do go see what my fellow teamies have created for you all, and then come join in, as you could be in the running to win a pack of ribbons from Crafty ribbons!
And there's also £10 up for grabs this month from Cuddly Buddly!
So what you waiting for!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Have a fantastic day!

Valentine
Evening all,
Just thought I'd stop by and share hubby's valentine's card with you all...
It's a simple design, but effective, I think. I first die-cut a heart from thick card. I then chose a few different ribbons, and glued those to the card, then trimmed them to fit the heart shape.
I then mounted it on a square of white card with foam pads for depth, which I matted on red miri board before sticking to the base card.
A simple sentiment in the corner finishes it off.
Sweet and simple, and oh so easy to make (because, frankly, as hubby will only glance at it once then chuck it somewhere on a pile of **** on his desk never to be seen again, I'm not expending huge amounts of time and effort on it! lol).
This technique can also very easily be done with strips of coordinating papers. I've just made another 10 doing just that... Need to use up scraps somehow! I'll drop them off at the charity shop tomorrow, which is where a lot of my cards end up!
And I'd like to enter this card into the Ribbon Girl challenge this week, where the theme is "hearts".
And also the Crafty ribbons challenge, where the theme is "Anything goes with ribbon".
Sweet dreams everyone.

I love a bargain!
Hi all,
I was in town the other day, spending my accumulated vouchers at The Works, when I stumbled upon the "reduced to clear" bin at Samuel Taylors in Leeds market. Inside those bins, I found half a dozen different La-La-Land stamps, all reduced to £2 each! It doesn't take a genius to figure out that they all came home with me! lol.
So here is the first of them. I really fancied making a boy's card, as it had been a while!
I coloured him with my Promarkers, and teamed him up with some MME papers - after fussy-cutting him first. I then added some buttons and star die-cuts with a LOTV "friend" stamped in the centre.
The picture has come out a little light... It's actually a lot more vibrant in person, but still... I'm quite pleased!
Expect to see a few more LLLC cards in the near future!
Also... I officially have over 100 followers! Welcome to everyone that joined recently, it's a pleasure to be sharing with you all! x
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Have a great evening everyone!

Alter a tin or jar - Crafting with Dragonflies DT
Hi all,
And now for something completely different... we're altering tins and jars over at Crafting with Dragonflies this fortnight, so I'm here to share my recipe.
Ingredients:
A heap of lace, some ribbon, string of pearls and buttons, paper and card, an image from our sponsor, Digistamps4joy and of course Promarkers, liquid pearls and plenty of Stickles. The final ingredient? A tin, such as this:
This recipe does not call for beans specifically, it can be any tinned food you like. Although, if you're as big a fan of Mexican food as we are, the above (or similar) is likely to be somewhere in your pantry!
Tools: Craft basic such as scissors, glue, dies, etc.
Method:
Print, colour and die-cut image. Add liquid pearls and Stickles and leave to marinade for about an hour.
Wrap tin in neutral colour paper. Wrap papered tin with several types of lace. Wind ribbon around tin. Wrap string of pearls around tin and attach at the back.
Attach image to front of tin, and adhere buttons to the sides with silicon glue. Allow to dry for one day.
Fill tin with tools and place on desk.
Bon appetit!

something a little different...
Hi all,
Today's card is different from my usual for two reasons. First, I'm using a Nellie Snellen image (my first such in rubber!) and second, the card is mostly green! I often use green paired with pink, but this is very green for me!
There's also very little in the way of flowers, but there is a lot of sparkle! I have no idea who the paper is from, as I got it in a pack of random papers, but I can tell you the sentiment is from LOTV.
The paper is glittered, and I added Stickles to her skirt and the die-cut corner.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Craft-Dee Bowz - Anything goes with a handmade bow
Penny black and more - Make it sparkle
Hope you are all having a fantabulous day!

A couple more stamp binders...
Hi all,
Don't forget to enter my candy!
I thought I'd swing by this evening to share another pair of LOTV stamp ring binders I decorated recently. These ones are to house my baby and couples stamps...
The baby one has LOTV papers from the Bear Necessities pad and the "Baby with Teddy" stamp, as well as some rub-ons and button/twine to decorate.
I can't remember which paper I used for my couples binder, but the stamp I used is "Meant to be". This time I used some organza ribbon and pompom trim, as well as a rub-on and some die-cuts to decorate.
I still have one binder left now, which is probably going to end up being used as a second girlie binder, as my girlie stamps have now overtaken the boys ones, and are bursting out of the binder!
I'm also looking for storage ideas for the A5 sentiment sets. At the moment they're simply sitting in my stamp box, but I love the convenience of putting them in binders. A4 binders are far too big though... Has anyone come up with a way of doing that for the A5s at all?
I'd like to enter these into the following challenge:
Stampin' for the weekend - anything but a card
Well, I think it's off to bed for me. See you all tomorrow!
Sweet dreams,

Candy reminder and update.
Hi all,
First of all, thank you all so much for your overwhelming comments on my little house project I posted this morning... I was rather pleased with it myself, but wasn't expecting quite the reaction I've gotten so far, so thank you all! *mwah!*
And I'd like to take the opportunity to remind you all to enter my candy. For which I finally have a photo:
I will be adding more between now and the 17th when I do the draw, but here's a start anyway :-)
And remember, there is also a special one-off challenge running alongside the candy, to make a card using my daughter's first digi. (you don't have to do this to enter the candy, there's a separate prize for that!) We have three gorgeous entries so far, and I hope there will be some more soon!
So come and play! You know you want to! :-)
Hugs,
Sammy-x

New challenge launch today! - Rhedd's creative spirit DT
Good morning my dears!
First of all, my apologies if I've not gotten 'round to your blogs recently. I've not been feeling too great, and though I've visited the land of blog, I've missed an awful lot! Hopefully there will be less of that now!
Anyways, the day has come! It's the first of February, and the official launch of the new altered art challenge blog "Rhedd's Creative Spirit"! I for one am really excited about this, and am so very pleased to be on this ridiculously talented design team!
There's no theme as such for this month's challenge, just simply Any altered art goes.
And this is what I came up with:
I found the house blank (and another two just like it) at a car boot sale a few months ago, and was so very chuffed with the find! And oh boy did I love playing with it and decorating it! I first "wallpapered" with some vintage-y paper (one from the Docrafts "Wellington" pack, and one from a vintage paper pad I found in The Works. I then covered the paper in crackle paint, to add a little age...
After that came the super fun part of embellishing... I'd decided on a neutral/natural colour scheme, and chose my embellishments to fit. I especially love the shabby bark hearts from Live & Love Crafts, which I think work so well!
Here's a couple of closer peeks:
See the picture above? Believe it or not, but most of those items came out of a bag of pot pourri!
Most of the individual compartments are "carpeted" with lace, Hessian/burlap or cheesecloth. I thought it added some extra texture that helps tie everything together.
I am also loving the mini jar with the cork stopper (also from The Works...) I filled it with a piece of Hessian and wrapped some lace around the top just to add some interest.
And after all that... I'm just about out of silicon glue! Hehe...
So now you've seen mine, please, please do yourselves a huge favour and go have a peek at the rest of the team's efforts. I was personally rather bowled over by the stunning makes!
So go leave them a little love if you can, and if you feel up to the challenge, please do come and play with us this month. we'd love to see you there!
I'd like to enter this project into the following challenges:
The Ribbon Girl - anything goes (second entry)
Altered Eclectics - Anything goes Feb
Sweet Stamps - Lace and hearts
Have the best of days,
Sammy-x
