Hello again,
You'll probably not know this, but I'd decided I was brave enough to play along with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2015 this year. And I did actually complete the January tag last month, I just completely forgot to blog it!
So, in an effort to be more organised, here's my February tag, and I'll post the January one too.
Now, not having any felt, I decided to make a heart out of core'dinations cardstock and distress it. In my mind, it looked awesome!
Could I find my Core'dinations anywhere? Could I heck. Even after moving all my crafty stuff and arranging it item-by-item in the new cupboard last week, no core'dinations. It's simply up and vanished!
So I settled for corrugated card instead, and used a little gesso and black ink to try and grunge it up a little (because it was bright). It's not what I'd originally intended, but I'm kinda pleased with it anyway.
Loved doing this tag, as I adore collage. So. much. Fun.
Now, for the January one, I copied the original quite closely, as it was my first attempt and I was somewhat nervous. Of course, I didn't have 90% of the supplies Sir Tim used (have since been shopping and it's now less than 30%, lol), but I managed more-or-less ok with what I had.
So there's my Jan and Feb tags. I'll try to be more organised and post next month's a little sooner (because chances are it'll be done by the 2nd, lol).
Hope you're all enjoying your Monday (this is me taking a well-deserved break from cleaning the kitchen, by the way!)

Your favourite technique - The Crafting Cafe DT
Good morning folks!
The challenge at The Crafting Cafe this month is your favourite technique. Brilliant, no? I certainly thought so.
Now one of my current favourites (you all know me, I like variety, so change my mind on this often!) is making backgrounds with Distress Inks. On my DT card I inked up a tag, using mostly yellows and oranges, and a little hint of green. I then heat embossed a text background with copper embossing powder, and then embossed my image in black.
I attached the tag to a card covered with contrasting paper and added a "sew sweet" sentiment a ribbon, pearls and die-cut arrow to finish the tag off. I added some more die-cuts and pearls to the card, as well as some Washi tape, and there it is!
So, what's your favourite technique? You still have a few days (not a week this time, as we run out of month sooner!) to enter, so why not come and play along?
Our sponsor this month suddenly closed down, so I have put some goodies aside for the lucky winner.
Have a fantabulous day folks.

Spring Flowers - Sweet Stampin' DT
Good morning my dears,
As you're reading this, I should be on my way to the dentist... Yes, it's been a year (!) and I'm finally going for my consultation with the dental surgeon to see about getting my wisdom teeth removed. A year. The pain isn't as bad now as it was for the first few months, thank goodness, but I have trouble with them every single day and just want it to be over and done with. Here's hoping we get somewhere today!
Anyways, on to better things.
There's a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' today, and the theme is Spring Flowers.
I made this:
Although I'd be a lot happier if I could take a straight photo instead of a wonky one, lol.
Stamp and sentiment are LOTV, and papers are Jillybean Soup.
Hope to see you all play along!
Have an awesome weekend!

Shiny new storage space!
Hi all,
Sorry I've not been around recently. We've had some serious work on the living room going on, and this meant crafty goodness had to be moved aside for a little while. on the upside, I now have somewhere to put said crafty goodness besides the floor all around my desk!
I started with:
Pretty useless, no? One, not very sturdy, shelf, and a space that always just ends up full of junk..
Then boys happened:
They worked ever so hard, measuring, sawing, drilling, etc.
Meanwhile, all my crafty stuff was piled on (and next to) the sofa:
But soon enough they all found a new home in my shiny new space:
How awesome is that!?
It cost me a small fortune to get enough boxes to store everything in from T K Maxx, but it's so worth it! All this stuff was simply piled up on and around my desk before, and I was getting so terribly claustrophobic!
This space still isn't ideal, and a little hard to get in and out of, but it's such a huge improvement, not to mention looks a lot tidier!
Now that I have access to desk and everything again, I really need to get caught up on my DT commitments (thank goodness I was ahead!), but I shall be visiting you all very soon!
Hope you're all well!

Step by step...
(No, my post title doesn't mean I've flashed back to the late 80's/early 90's and the then popular boyband New Kids on the Block. Surely I'm not the only one who remembers that dreadful song? lol)
Right then, you remember I posted this at the beginning of the month, yes?
Well, I promised a step-by-step, and I am happy to tell you that it should be going live on the Rhedd's Creative Spirit blog around about now-ish!
I'd love it if you'd go take a peek and let me know what you think! And if any of you are inspired to do something similar, please do let me know, as I'd love to see it!
Hope you're having a fab weekend. I should personally be knee-deep in sawdust around about now, but at least it should mean I have a cupboard to put my crafty goodies in by the time we're done!
Speak soon!

Buckwells inspiration...
Good morning all!
Just popping in to remind you all of the challenge at Buckwells, which is red/love this month, and is sponsored by Buckwells Craft Supplies, and Kenny K.
You may remember that I made a card at the beginning of the month with the Brianna Blaster image. I decided to make a second card with the same image, but going for a different, more steampunk look.
The Copper Pot papers from Buckwells Craft Supplies were perfect for this.
And I found a Kanban sentiment that was perfect! I stuck mostly to using neutral Promarkers for this, with the occasional pop of various shades of red/orange, and love the way she came out!
I don't really like how the Frantage looks in the picture, but in person it looks pretty awesome!
Now there just so happens to be a 10% off sale happening at Buckwells for the next few days, so go grab yourself a crafty bargain while you can!
Right then, that's it from me for now, hope you all have a most fab day!

Add a heart - Sweet Stampin' DT
Morning all!
The new challenge at Sweet Stampin' this week is "Add a heart", which is of course apt for this time of year.
However, I decided to forego the cutesy lovey-dovey kind of card in favour of a slightly more jaded, but oh so funny, sentiment.
I found this sentiment stamp at GNPE last October, and it was in my basket without a moment's hesitation. It's so funny. And it's funny because it's true, lol.
But I guess that since I never got a diamond (and I don't believe there are amethysts in a deck of cards!), I don't need to go looking for the club and spade. Yet! ;-)
Now then... It's your turn. And yes, you can make something a little sweeter if you prefer, lol. Just be sure to check out what my fellow teamies have been up to, because there's so much loveliness to inspire you there.
Have a fabby weekend!

Red/ love - Buckwells Crafty Challenge DT
Good morning everyone!
It's February already! That was fast! And of course it also means there's some new challenges happening... First of all, the February theme over at Buckwells Crafty Challenge is, unsurprisingly Love/red.
Our sponsor this month is Kenny K, and IO got to use the super fab image Brianna Blaster.
I figured it would make an awesome image for hubby's valentine's card, so I killed two birds with one stone :-)
I coloured Brianna with my Promarkers, and teamed her up with some MME papers and Buckwell Craft Supplies ribbon.
Now, there's 3 chances to win this month at Buckwells! You could win some digis from Kenny K, or two lucky winner can get their hands on some of the new digi papers available from Buckwells. So why not come and play along?
Right then, I shall be back in an hour with my next project... Watch this space!
