Morning folks!
Well, there was another episode in the hiatus hernia saga today. Doc told me they won't operate, as it's not life threatening, and instead they'll just treat the symptoms for the rest of my life.
I don't think so!! Aside from the fact that I don't want heartburn and medication for the rest of my life (I'm still the right side of 40, for goodness' sake!), but the hernia is interfering with my ability to sing, and that I CAN'T live with!
So I made an appointment with another doctor, and will try again next week. I fully intend to keep making appointments and making a nuisance of myself until they do something to sort it! lol.
Anyways, there are more fun things to be talking about. Like this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin'. And the theme this week is Spots or Stripes or both.
Easy peasy. I'm sure you're all as bad as me and have stacks of spotty stripy things lying around, no? (Surely I'm not the only compulsive paper hoarder? hehe...)
I opted for both, and put together a card for a friend's birthday. She likes red, so that was my starting point, and I chose a bluey/teal to go with it for contrast.
I do love these stamps. And of course they just beg to be paper-pieced!
Originally this card did not have corners, but before I managed to photograph, there was a slight mishap involving Distress blending tools, lol.
I hope you'll find the time to play along with us this week!
Have a fantabulous weekend!

Wow Sammy! This is great, love the colours and of course the great paper piecing :-) The corners look as if they're meant to be, so a happy accident methinks.

Fab paper piecing, lovely colour combo. Hope you get a better answer this time. Pay privately and they will operate x
Hi Sammy,
Literally just back from holiday so having quick pop round to say hi and catch up on things and your latest creations.

Love the colour combo Sammy and as Di says, those corners were meant to be. Good luck with the quest to get your HH dealt with xx
Loving this Sammy... I have that stamp too but you've made it look fabulous with those wonderful spots and stripes!
I'm a fellow HH sufferer.. though I am t'other side of 60 so it may be expected! I've been on lansoprazole for about 10 years now tho... it keeps it at bay and it's only one tab a day.

Utterly perfect spots and stripes creation Sammy. Love the red and blue. Hope you manage to get a doc to listen hun, no fun suffering when there can be things done to help. Hope it's sorted soon. Hugs, Wends x
This fab colour combo and bold design are perfect for this big sentiment stamp and the corners look great...a happy accident!
Stick to your guns about getting this hernia fixed; as long as you have done your research into the pros and cons of surgery you should be able to argue the case for getting it sorted as it's your body and it should be your choice.
Big hugs, Kat xx
Lovely design Sammy
