Good evening folks!
First of all, don't forget to enter my candy here.
Second, apologies if it seems I'm not keeping up with things at the moment... Blogger is being a pain in the backside and refuses to work most of the time! :-(
So, I was trying to think of a card idea for a friend of the family, and I decided to give the whole CAS thing another whirl. I often make what I heard referred to as "clean and layered" cards last week, but actual white makes me rather nervous.
However, I've seen a lot of cards recently that have little more than a stamped image and a sentiment, and red and white seems to be my colour combo of choice this week, so I decided to give it a try, using one of my new LOTV stamps, which I figured was perfect...
Oh look! It's James again! lol. Normally I like to colour his fur a bit darker, but it was fun to change it up a little and go with a lighter shade for a change. He has his pint of ale and pressie ready too.
I had actually stamped the sentiment straight onto the card, but it shifted on the block and went squint, hence the second panel on top. That is my favourite boys' birthday sentiment at the moment. It seems to go with most male cards. Yay!
I picked the washi tape up at Wilkinsons and it and the card are actually both the same shade of red, but for some reason the picture hasn't come out that way. There also seems to be an odd little shadow just below the tape that isn't actually there... Odd! The pint glass is covered in glossy accents, and looks fab in person!
I hope our friend likes it! I enjoyed making it so much, I made a set of Christmas cards with the same design too! :-)
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Addicted to stamps and more - Clean and simple
The male room - food and drink
Papertake weekly - anything goes with the option of CAS
Cards for men - anything goes
Here come the boys - anything goes for the boys
Well, it'll be my first time trying to sell some cards tomorrow... It's only a school fair, so not expecting much, but with luck I'll make my table fee back at least :-)
Have a great one!
