The new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' is one I often struggle with... Feature an animal. 

I very much prefer colouring humans, so I tend to avoid animals, but every now and then a stamp comes along that grabs me anyway, like this gorgeous Holy Night digi from The Paper shelter. I mean... could you resist that gorgeous deer? I certainly couldn't!

So, over to you guys. Is there an animal that just melts your heart? why not make a card with one and come share it with us!

Summer Break challenge - The Paper Shelter

Morning all!

It's time for our summer break challenge over at The Paper Shelter, where the theme is a very easy anything goes, so you've no excuse for not joining in! ;)

 In an ideal, non-pandemic world, a summer break would mean travel, but unfortunately that's still not really an option. I for one won't be travelling until things are "back to normal". I don't want to "waste" a holiday with all the restrictions and such that are happening on and off all over the world. If I'm going to visit Paris, I want to climb the Eiffel Tower, visit the Louvre and eat at all the delicious cafes and restaurants. Not spend the trip stuck in a hotel room because they've put extra restrictions in place again suddenly! Call me odd, lol.

So, with that in mind, I figured I would enjoy the romance of a trip to Paris in spirit, by colouring the gorgeous Si Belle and pairing her with some pretty Parisian papers.

Create your own background - Sweet Stampin'

 Morning all,

Time for a new challenge over at  Sweet Stampin', and this time the theme is make your own background. 

Good news for those of us that like to get inky, because it's a perfect excuse to break them out and get messy! I made some bookmarks (when I say some, I mean I made around 50!!!), which I leave a few at a time in our local Little Free Library.

I have to admit, the pandemic has really upped my reading considerably. I usually read around 80-100 books a year, but since the start of 2020 I've taken to audio books in a big way as reading print is more-or-less out of the question when you get NO time to yourself ever (at least for me it is, lol). And my total for 2020 was 304 books! 2021 so far looks to probably surpass that!

And I know that I still won't be able to read all the books I want to even if I live to be 200, lol.

Anyway, enough waffle. time for you guys to come share your pretty backgrounds with us!

Things with Wings - The Paper Shelter

 Morning all,

This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is the always fun things with wings.

Rather than opting for my usual go-to fairies for this theme, I decided on making a masculine card instead, so dug out the fun digi The Aviator to play with.

I love this little guy and his tiny plane! Did you know I really wanted to be a pilot until well into my teens? Unfortunately increasingly bad eyesight put an end to that idea, but for a long time, I had dreams of becoming a fighter pilot! How about you guys? Any wild ideas about what you wanted to be when you were younger? Did you realise those dreams? Enquiring minds want to know!
