Morning all,
New challenge time over at Sweet Stampin', and this week we're looking for a very easy spots and/or stripes.
As I usually do with this theme, I went for stripes. I do love me a stripe, I do...
A simple layout and a Saturated Canary stamp I've had for aaaaages, but hadn't gotten 'round to using yet.
The stripes in question are from an old LotV paper pad, and I found the pink paper languishing in my off-cuts. I rather liked the colour combination.
Now it's over to you guys, come share your spots and stripes with us this week, and don't forget to go see what my fellow Sweeties have created for you.
Have a fantabulous weekend!

Unusual hair colour - Sweet Stampin' DT
Hi all,
New challenge time at Sweet Stampin', and this week we're looking for unusual hair colour.
I decided to have a play with this Saturated Canary stamp, as she looked like she might well have a funky shade to her hair.
And yes, I had pink hair in my late teens too! It wasn't this shade... It was actually a rather lovely salmon pink (much, much prettier than it sounds!) I managed to land job offers in both a hospital and a 5-star restaurant with that colour, so it couldn't be all bad! lol.
Other colours I had were blue - which glowed in the dark! - and blonde with brown stripes. Ah... The fun times of a misspent youth! lol.
And now it's your turn. Grab those funky colours and give someone a make-over (preferably on paper... Husbands/the postman/the family cat may not take too kindly to being experimented on!) and then come share with us at Sweet Stampin'. (and if you do experiment on any of the above, come share those too, so we can all have a giggle!)
Have a fantabulous day!

Easter - Sweet Stampin' DT
Good morning everyone!
First of all, just a heads-up that Tonya of CraftyHands has started a FB page where she puts up great deals on crafting supplies! Why not pop over there and take a peek?
Now then, it's Saturday, which of course means Team Fi has a new challenge for you over at Sweet Stampin', and the theme is Easter.
I was lucky enough to win some really scrummy goodies from Jen recently, and amongst them what this gorgeous Saturated Canary stamp. I just couldn't resist using it to make my DT card!
Isn't she just adorably sweet? The papers are First Edition, as are the easter eggs. Ribbon and liquid pearls finish it off nicely.
Now, my fellow sweeties have prepared some lovely cards for you, so why not go take a peek and leave them some love?
And me? I'll be off to the LOTV shop shortly (I know, I should probably start paying rent soon, lol), as I'm booked into the workshop with the fabulous Dawny P this afternoon! Can't wait!
Have an excellent day everyone!
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Papertake weekly - Anything Goes
Moving along with the times - Sweet Treats

First go at paper piecing!
A couple of weeks ago, I won a set of stamps from Little Darlings, and amongst them was this Saturated Canary stamp.
Coincidentally, I had an as yet unused paper pad sitting on my desk I really wanted to have a play with, and the two just worked really well together. I paper pieced her skirt out of the cherry paper, though I did colour it afterwards with an ivory Promarker, as I didn't think it worked well bright white...
And I decorated the inside with the same papers...
I enjoyed my first outing into paper piecing, and I think I may well do a lot more in future!
Recipe:
Image & sentiment - "Cherry on top" - Saturated Canary
Medium - Promarkers
Paper - Dolly Mixtures - Amy
Card candi
Red and white card from stash.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenge:
Saturated Canary challenge blog - Paper piecing
CCEE Stampers - Fruit
Milk Coffee challenge - Paper Piecing
Happy crafting!
