New Beginnings - The Paper Shelter

 Morning all,

It's time for the first challenge of the year over at The Paper Shelter, and the theme is, aptly, New Beginnings. 

Instead of reaching for the new baby images like I always do, I thought I'd go for a "new home" card instead, and I chose the fab Mushroom Castle, and decided it would be fun to colour them in greyscale, and have the central house in colour to make it pop.

I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

New! - Sweet Stampin'

 Morning all, and Happy New year!

The first Sweet Stampin' challenge of the year is starting right now, and we want to see something new!

You can interpret that so many ways, but I went with a card for someone who had a new addition to their family. I chose an adorable LotV stamp and papers, and made a card that included a pocket for a tag.

The sentiment on the tag is anything but new. It was a rub-on that was on a sheet of them I've had for about a dozen years or so! But I thought it fit the occasion rather well.
