I was MIA yesterday, sorry about that. I was on my annual Christmas shopping trip to York, and by the time I got back I was so tired I couldn't move. The jury is out on whether or not I'll be able to be on my feet today!
Anyways, I would like to share with you my DT card for the new challenge at Rhedd and Rosie's. The new challenge is Let it snow, so break out your glitter, snowflake dies or stamps or other snowy items, and join in the fun!
For my card I chose a Papermania stamp, which I believe was either a magazine freebie or part of a grab bag... I can't remember! I do know I've had it since last Christmas and have never used it before!
I decided to go with browns, as if it is a sepia photograph, but then to add pops of red where appropriate. And there's plenty of Stickles and Glossy accents too!
The background is kraft card with Sizzix snowflakes stamped on with white ink and heat embossed, and then a sprinkling of frantage here and there too.
I'm not 100% sure about the ribbon... I believe I either found it in the offcuts bin at the habby's in Leeds market (where I get most of my ribbon and lace!) or from my mum's sewing stash!
The result is altogether pretty snowy!
So, what say you? Can you manage one more Christmas card this season? Sure you can! Just make it a snowy one, and come play with us! In the meantime, please go have a peek at my fellow teamies' creations, as they're gorgeous!
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Papertake weekly - Last Christmas card of the year
Inky Chicks - Christmas
Oldie but a goodie - Winter (Stamp is over a year old, ribbon older still!)
Lexi's Creations - Snow
Dream Valley Challenges - Christmas
Have a good one!
