A birthday card - The Paper shelter

The theme over at The Paper Shelter this week is as easy as easy can be, as we'd like to see your birthday cards! So you have no excuse for not joining in! ;)

I chose the fab Retro Space Girl for a crafty friend (who is as much into sci-fi as I am!), and paired her with some delicious Maja Design papers.

No squares - Sweet Stampin'

 Morning all,

Time for a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin', and this time we're asking you to step away from your go-to squares and rectangles, and make something in a different shape.

I decided that my birthday calendar - which I'd made when I first started crafting back in 2012! - really needed updating, making a little bigger, and decorating in something that's a little more my style, so I grabbed some dies and my favourite Tim Holtz papers I'd been hoarding for just such an occasion and set to...

And of course I had to include a few pictures of some individual pages...

This now has pride of place on my desk, and with luck I'll now never forget another birthday again! (wish me luck with that, lol)

Girl Power - The Paper Shelter

New challenge time over at The Paper Shelter, and this week's theme is the super fun Girl Power.

So many options with this one, but I chose to have some fun with the awesome Rebel digi and some of my favourite Prima papers.

A scalloped die-cut to add a touch more colour, and my favourite happy birthday sentiment and there it is. I love this digi, don't you?
