Shabby chic/Distressed - Sweet Stampin'

 Good morning everyone!

New challenge time at Sweet Stampin', and this fortnight is one of my favourite themes, shabby chic or distressed. 

It probably won't surprise anyone to see me go the shabby chic route...

The lovely image is from The Paper Shelter, of course, and I went for a unusual - for me - colour scheme with peach and soft yellows. I rather like how it came out!

Shades of Blue - The Paper shelter

 Good morning folks,

New challenge time over at The Paper Shelter, and this week we're looking for creations in shades of blue.

It worked out perfectly, as I needed a card for my daughter's birthday, and as she's mad about mermaids, the colour blue would work beautifully with the gorgeous Beautiful Mermaid digi.

This was the result:

The tail is of course sparkly, but you know how it is with glitter and photographs!

I feel sorry for my kids though. An 18th and a 21st while in lockdown. we'll just have to do something extra special once everything is finally over!

I decided to use the lovely Autmn Love for my card.

I decided to tone down the usual red for Valentine's (as hubby thinks too much red is too girly, lol) with some lovely teal, and made it a little grungier to suit him. I've got to admit, I'd love an umbrella like that!
