February challenge - Rhedd's Creative Spirit

Hello again,

Back again this morning with another February challenge. This one for Rhedd's Creative Spirit.

Like my other post this morning, this project contains a lot of upcycled items from the charity shop I volunteer in.

I decided to have my first go at a floating teacup.

The theme was decided by the cup itself, as the colours made me think of autumn, so I added pine cones and other embellishments in the same colour scheme. The large butterfly at the bottom is a belt buckle. A couple of the gems are missing, and it was going to get thrown away until I came to the rescue. It is also beautifully heavy, which was very useful when trying to balance the cup. The weight of the buckle was just perfect! The other butterfly was a necklace pendant.

Now I hope you'll come join us this month. Remember, Anything altered art goes!

Have a most fantabulous day!
