Dies and punches - Sweet Stampin'

Good morning peoples!

It's new challenge time over at Sweet Stampin' this morning, and it's good news for all you die-cutters out there, as the theme is dies and punches.

For my card, I used a Polkadoodles die set. It is entirely Jane's fault I own this, as She Made. I Saw. I Needed Wanted. hehe...

The stamp is of course one of Julie Nutting's Prima dolls, and the paper is Kaisercraft's Ma Cherie.

And now it's your turn to break out your dies, punches, and of course a stamp or two, and come to play with the sweeties.

Something New - Sweet Stampin'

Good morning all!

Time for the first Sweet Stampin' challenge of the year, and if Santa brought you anything crafty, playing along will be easy, as the theme is Something New. But even if Santa forgot to drop off the crafty goodness you'd been hoping for (like he seems to do every year. Bah Humbug!), I'm sure you all have a new, unopened something in your stash you can use to play along with, no? And if you don't, how about using the new theme in a different way to mean a baby, house or job, etc?

For mine I used a brand new Snipart frame I got from Craftbox, some paper out of a previous box and a very old LDRS sentiment stamp that I hadn't gotten 'round to using yet, lol.

Sweet and simple, but the more I looked at it, the less I thought I wanted to add anything. The paper has enough interest already, and adding embellies at this point would just be overcrowding it, I think. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this CAS thing a little...

January Challenge - Rhedd's Creative Spirit

Good morning bloggaroos, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

If you're anything like me, you're very glad to see the back of 2016. Here's hoping 2017 will be a better one for all.

And what better way to kick it off than with some altered art? A great time to come play along at Rhedd's Creative Spirit's January challenge!

I took a boring old tray, and turned it into a much prettier one.

I used Docrafts decoupage papers, distress paints and a pretty Robin I found at The Works.


This is how it started life:

A closer look at the cluster on the front. It's made from an MDF oval from Fernli designs, which I painted, stamped and distressed, before adding the gorgeous gem centre and WOC flowers.
