Harrogate haul...

My darling daughter and I had rather a great time at the GNPE in Harrogate today, and we came home with rather an impressive array of goodies. LOTS of dies, stencils and stamps, my first few alcohol inks and of course the obligatory "two bags full" from the MDF man :-)

And we also enjoyed a browse through the Visible Image stand, where we saw the very talented Sam Kingdon's work in person (and may or may not have purchased a stamp or three, lol).

And best of all..?

I actually had quite a bit of money left over! Some of which I've already spent on goodies from Amazon (is it an "oops" if it was already cash earmarked for crafty goodness?).
I was slightly disappointed at the lack of certain stalls I was hoping to see, and it seems no-one wants to sell spray inks or anything Tim Holtz that isn't distress ink pads and the odd stencil *sulk*, but other than that, I am most pleased and get to tick quite a few things off my shopping list!

Hope you all have had a fantastic weekend too.

I went yesterday Sammy with all our crafty club girls and I was disappointed at the lack of exhibitors, it seems to be getting less and less each year since I started going many moons ago:( but I got what I needed and a few more goodies. Glad you had a good time and of course the money you have left over is designated for 'crafting' mine was LOL huggles Sue xxx

A great haul Sammy...I had the same issues with sellers at Westpoint, there was very little in the way of altered art/mixed media materials...all stands were very samey...xx

Looks a bit world wide - same reaction to the last show I went to here. Very samey.
I must say Sammy I am a bit jealous though - your haul looks very productive and much more than mine last time. SU are getting a bit samey too -wonder if it is the GFC??

HI Sammy.... you did better than me!! I think I came home with about half of what you got! LOL! I know what you mean about some stalls not being around... I think since they have moved it to the smaller hall, it's become not as good as it used to be. Such a shame... But I think the most of the stalls suffer from shop-lifting (so sad)... so they tend not to bring stuff that is really small.. also I think the internet has affected purchases there.. people tend to look for ideas then go away to see if they can buy the item cheaper on the net!!

Like you though... I also managed a fair bit from the MDF man!!

Sounds like you had a good day Sammy. I have never been to one of these venues and would love to go but as I do not drive I cannot see it happening. It is lovely to read about your day though and I did smile at all those lovely goodies to play with.

I hope you enjoy all your new stash.
